About

Together we can learn, grow, and build friendships both personally and with our community to enrich our kids, parents, and neighbors at Grandin.

Previously Westbrook Evolution, 501c3 nonprofit organization Grandin Evolution is a learning cottage donated by the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation and the owners of Westbrook Mobile Home Park to offer programming for individuals living in the park.  Through data collection, teachers and administrators of Highland Elementary realized that many of the students who were struggling in school were students living below the poverty level in this mobile home park.

We provide programming to enrich the lives of children and families living in the Grandin Mobile Home Park.  Currently we have two after school “Homework Help” programs.  Mondays and Wednesday we provide help with homework, exercise activities, and character building lessons to middle schoolers.  We offer the same program on Tuesdays and Thursdays to elementary students.

We have partnered with the YMCA to provide programming for our students.  We try to give them a healthy snack each session.  During our summer programming we provide a hot lunch daily and field trips on Fridays.  Throughout the school year, through the YMCA, we provide a hot meal on Wednesdays by transporting middle school students to the Dream Center. On Thursdays, we provide this opportunity for elementary students.
